About FACE:
At the Federation of African Canadian Economics (FACE), we aim to drive generational wealth powered by sustainable economic resources, capacity and strategic partnerships.
FACE is a national and bilingual Black-led non-profit organization focused on providing resources and information to Black Businesses across Canada to accelerate wealth creation for Canadians of African descent.
Founded in 2021, in partnership with the Federal Government of Canada, FACE created a Black Entrepreneurship Loan Fund to help Black business owners access capital investments, working capital, or additional business resources for expansion. FACE has several partners that assist further the mission of providing Black Canadians with the necessary resources, knowledge, and confidence to operate successfully as Black entrepreneurs and thrive as a community.

The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is facing significant changes in 2025, with a reduced allocation of slots and new priorities that will impact local businesses' ability to address labour shortages. To ensure your voice is heard and that the program continues to support our community’s needs, the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with TIA Yukon and the Yukon Chamber of Commerce, invites you to complete a brief survey.

Your input will directly influence the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce’s discussions with the Yukon Government (YG) regarding how the limited YNP slots are allocated. It is our intent to bring your feedback to YG immediately after the survey deadline to advocate for next steps that align with your needs.

Next Steps
Survey responses will be collected and analyzed on Tuesday morning, January 28th. A summary of the results will be shared with the Yukon Government that same afternoon to ensure a timely and informed discussion. We aim to meet with YG on January 29th to present your recommendations and advocate for an approach that supports our local business community.

The Yukon Chamber of Commerce (YCC) is pleased to announce an exciting new collaboration with Supply Chain Canada Northern Territories Institute (SCC), marking a significant step towards enhancing supply chain capabilities in Yukon and Northern Canada.
Through this partnership, both organizations will work together to deliver a range of educational opportunities, including training, courses, and programs under the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) Designation and the Supply Management Training (SMT) Program.
The SMT Program is designed to address the growing global demand for skilled professionals who can manage complex supply chains. Through a series of tactical courses and seminars, this program will help early- to mid-career professionals develop essential skills that will benefit supply chain functions and contribute to their broader business expertise. It is an excellent opportunity for anyone seeking to deepen their knowledge of supply management and strengthen their career in the industry.
The collaboration also stems from the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on October 9, 2024, between the Yukon Chamber of Commerce and Supply Chain Canada Northern Territories Institute. This MOU establishes a formal framework for ongoing cooperation aimed at addressing supply chain challenges, enhancing resilience, and supporting economic development in Yukon and Northern Canada. Key objectives of this partnership include:
- Enhancing supply chain resilience: Improving logistics infrastructure and connectivity to support local businesses in the region.
- Developing sustainable solutions: Promoting green supply chain practices and the adoption of innovative technologies.
- Training and development: Offering professional development opportunities to build capacity in supply chain management and logistics.
- Business collaboration: Facilitating partnerships between Yukon businesses and national/international supply chain stakeholders.
- Policy advocacy: Working on recommendations to improve supply chain systems and services within the region.
